Has anyone ever seen where calls get a RemoteBye and the call shows it is dropped by the other end and your SIP provider is saying they are receiving the bye request from the other end but yet it is way to frequent? Meaning I have other clients using this provider and this even hosted together that are not having the issue. But this client will get 2 or 3 drops a day out of about 10 calls. Every time I look and my provider looks it is a call clear on the other side. I guess my question is. Is it possible that somehow my system or setup is causing the other end to send the bye request? Sorry to ask this here but I am at loss and not sure what can be happening. It happened over a month ago for a few days and went away. Then it started happening again 2 days ago.

Hello @Andy Oberlin

If the BYE is coming from the provider then your provider should be able to tell you why the BYE message is generated. Perhaps the BYE is generated by the remote party and your provider is only relaying the info. In that case there is nothing you can do. In most cases the PBX communicates with the provider and the provider communicates with the remote party which could be a user or another provider.
I am not sure if there is something the PBX can do to affect the remote party to end the call. Do calls end at a specific duration or do they end randomly?

Very random. The provider says they are receiving the BYE request and normal call clearing. Just trying to see if there is anything I can look into other than just hitting the provider every day. Thanks for the response.
