Calls from fake Norwegian numbers

I have no clue if it as any others at all using 3CX in Norway, but:

We have got a few calls from non-exsisting number in Norway, this has been pretty obvious that they try to get information from people.

I went trough the Norwegian number plan, and blocked most of the series that are not used, and the problem
was solved.

If this is shared in wrong forum please give me a hint, and of course it is free to use for every one but I is made by me as an hoobyist and I take no resposibility if it contains errors or cause problems, but it works for me.

If others has that problem you may get what I did put in to the csv file.

Any idea why scam callers in Norway would only use non-existent numbers (prefixes), that are relatively easy to detect, as you have done? Many scam callers plaguing us in North America, seem to have no hesitation in using "real" phone numbers, whether they currently belong to someone else, or are not actually in service.

No I do not know, but we are still a small country with 5.5 million citizens, and a rigid system that blocks from porting landline numbers to mobile, only to voip. Using a "landline" number and mainly calling landline phones limits the possibility of that any reads what number they have called from. Who does still have a landline? Companies and elderly people, and a few crazy persons like me who actually like older phones.

My reason for using 3CX is those old phones, and in this house most phones are rotary, and really old. Getting them work together with IP telephony has been a challenge, but, yes it works well. with 3CX I may see what number who called, and blacklist them one by one. When I recognized a series of numbers that was not in use, I just blocked all that are not in use according to the Norwegian E.164.

It is not a big problem, but when I had done this more or less to test and learn, I could share so others not had to do that too.
