Can barley hear On Hold music for external calls

So this is interesting. I put a custom file for on hold music. When i play it over an ip phone it is nice and clear. but when i test an external call being put on hold, I can barley hear the music. Like it was so low i thought no music was playing. I tried on 2 different external phones. is there something wrong with the .wav file? The default onhold.wav file is fine.

It may be that the audio is low on your wav, as it will also depend on the codecs used by the providers on either side of the call, with some compression or transcoding taking place that will affect the audio.

You can try adjusting the volume of the file using a free audio program such as Audacity, and export if in the supported audio file format which is WAV, PCM, 8 KHz, 16 bit.
