Can I create a speed dial to access another extension's voicemail?

Hi team,

I was trying to create a speed dial button like 9999pp#pEXTp#pPASSWORD to directly access another extension voicemail but it's not working. Is there a way to make it work, or pauses and # don't work on speed dials? Or maybe an outbound rule? Don't know how to make it work if possible.

What you are trying to do requires a phone that "knows" to switch to DTMF after the initial number has been sent as a SIP message. That is not going to be something you can put in speed-dial unless the directory of the set allows this, and, can send the DTMF after the pause character.

This seemed to work for me: setting a custom speed dial with 999,#<ext>,<pin> is a workable solution as yealink and fanvil phones treat a comma as a pause and send DTMF tones.

Did you create the speed dial directly from the ip phone? Remotely from the web page it didn't work.

Yep I did it that way. But calls didn't go out.

Did you create any special outbound rule?

I did not.
IF it helps, I am using some fanvil phones and some yealink t46s phones

also using an SBC and hosted by 3cx instance

The only other thing is to make sure you are using the commas. it should look like this as an example
999,#123,1234

Yep,

I'm using as example with an ext 1000 and password 000000:

9999,#,1000,0000# but it's taking the call as a simple full number and it's not doing it.

I've a no route to destination error.

I guess I've to modify Ip phone templates and configure the DTMF correctly to make it work.

try removing that comma after the # and the # at the end
I am not using that.

otherwise, yes, will require a custom template that will, of course, not be supported
