Can I get my hosted instance deleted please?

You can stop the instance through the portal by logging in with the email to register the subscription. Then, the system will be deleted after several days. This will allow you to use the subscription to re-deploy an instance to wherever else you require it.

Charles, id there a way I can speed up the DNS changing for the FQDN?

I've done a license refresh and stuck the IP to dynamic but it's still showing the hosted.

Is it just a waiting game?

It depends on the DNS server you use on your network and how long it holds a cache.
