Solved Can I use a v15.5 update 2 back up on a v16 install

I have a client that needs to to have their 3CX upgraded to v16. I tried using the batch installer to get them to v15.5 update 6 but I kept having an issue.

I wanted to know if I uninstall the v15 and install v16 can i restore it from the v15.5 update 2 backup or is there another way that I have not considered?

I tried to update to v15.5 SP 6 but the batch updater did not work. And if I try to manually get the update form the update section of the Management console it says I can't due to the license being expired (which it is not).

Check my last answer, you are running the wrong version of the patch. No need to open duplicate threads.
As Saqqara said, you first need to get to the latest service pack of V15.5, which is SP6a before you can upgrade to V16.

Since this questions was asked and answered, I am locking this thread, if you have any issues with the patcher, continue in the other thread.
