Dears,
i'm trying to setup such an environment where if i get sip trunk voip call to my 3cx server and my 3cx server route that inbound call to a user pin which is registered into 3cx app of any user's into his/her mobile phone and then that 3cx app forward that call to local gsm network via the sim card installed on that cell phone. is it possible in 3cx ? or if there is any other convenient way to perform this. need your urgent hlep. thanks.

Hi @usmanali.pro82,

You can have the SIP call on the mobile then transfer it to your mobile number, it will go out via your trunk and then use the local gsm network thereafter.

I'm not aware of the 3CX Mobile App being able to forward a call to the mobile network, on a phone. To send calls over a mobile network, from 3CX, would require adding a GSM/LTE gateway device and trunk, to the PBX, then routing calls out over that.

i understand that we need a gsm gateway device to route calls to local mobile networks. i was just curious to know if a mobile is connected with 3cx server via the 3cx app and valid pin. then we can route sip trunk calls to that specific pin so that mobile will recieve that call. i just want you guys to enable to app to auto dial the ANI number coming from 3cx server via the sim card installed on that mobile. is it possible ?

you mean a voip call intended for gsm network can be routed via the sim card. like below diagram

voip traffic switch --> 3cx server --> 3cx mobile app --> sim card --> gsm network --> end user mobile

if above scenario is possible then guide me please how? i'll be thankful.

I see @usmanali.pro82, there is no way to do this via the 3CX App. What I mentioned above would be where the app sends the call out of your trunk to your mobile in order to continue the call via GSM.

voip traffic switch --> 3cx server --> 3cx mobile app --> sim card --> gsm network --> end user mobile
This is not possible I'm afraid.

so can you plz suggest how can i achieve given scenario by any third party app or something.

If you essentially just want to end up with a call between the external caller and your mobile cellular/gsm number you can use 302 Call Deflection:

You'll have to set the extension to either Away or DND and then set "forward to number" , enter the mobile number and select "Use Cal Deflection(302)".

This will tell the SIP Provider to connect the call to the specified mobile number instead of having the call go through 3CX. This means it will be an incoming call to the GSM number.

The alternative (if your provider does not allow call deflection), would be to use the Ring My Mobile option, which, while using two trunks, on an external call to a GSM mobile number, would accomplish....

voip traffic switch --> 3cx server --> voip traffic switch--> gsm network --> end user mobile

for any call to the extension.
