We were testing turning off the 3cs server at night to reduce costs and we believe that has stopped the SSL certificate from updating.

Is there a way of manually updating the certificate?

We have it on Azure Debian VM

Latest version

We start the renewal process 1 month before the expiration of the SSL certificate. You would leave it on at night at this period, so then the certificate gets updated.

I have changed it to not shut down now, will it update over night now?

Yes, this will perform the update in the early hours of the morning, at about 2-4 am

So, we wont be able to force it to happen during the day?

You can, but this requires going into the parameters of the system, as well as command line.

I would not recommend this unless absolutely necessary, and only if the automatic procedure fails multiple times in a row.

The SSL certificate updated over night, so we are Ok now
