Can you modify how 3CX handles the INVITE

I have version 20.0.4.487 hosted on 3CX. It's the enterprise version.

Our SIP trunk is Flowroute.

Occasionally, we will get calls that contain a forwarded number that should not exist. Flowroute is not responsible for this. They just pass on what they receive. Flowroute correctly sends the call to our 3CX system, but 3CX is picking up the To header and trying to route the call based on that number. Since the number in the To header does not exist, the call is routed to the default routing.

Here is an example. An outside caller dials (xxx) 555-1212. Flowroute receives the call and sends it to our 3CX system. 3CX looks at the To header, and it contains a number that is not (xxx) 555-1212. In fact, in every case where this happens, the number in the To header is not in service. Since the number in the To header does not match any numbers in our 3CX system, the call goes to the default routing.

Flowroute has informed me that if I "modify the inbound parameters to point to the request line URI portion of the INVITE" this will solve the problem. 3CX will ignore the wrong number in the To header and it will only look at the correct number in the request line URI portion.

Can this be done in the 3CX version I have? If so, what are the steps?

Thank you.

Export provider, change parameters in XML, then reimport+reconfigure trunk. V18 used to have that in the UI but they made it simpler in v20.

No, this is wrong by the voip provider. The Voip provider has to pass the call in the same way each time and if it makes a mistake then it goes to default routing. This is correct behavior, you must take it up with the provider
