Cannot log in to multiple Hotdesk enabled phones simultaneously as the same user in V18

I had been working on this issue with a customer but I just saw this update from staff:

Is this a bug that should be/is reported or is this a design change from V16 to V18?

Just tested this and I'm afraid that logging a single extension into multiple hotdesking phones was never possible in v16u8. It isn't possible in v18 currently. It is by design.
