*NOTE* This is not an IOS problem, it is a server problem as evidenced by troubleshooting below.

Running version 16.0.619
Debian ISO running as a virtual machine on Cent OS 8.
Iphone SE, running 13.6
3cx app is the most recent from the App store.
Environment and app have been stable and no updates have been run since the update to 16.0.619 back in mid-June.

I set the 3cx app on my phone to "Away" on Friday morning. Went back just now to change it to "Available" and got the attached error. I have no idea what the hell that is.

Things I have tried:
1) Closed and re-opened App.
2) Rebooted iphone.
3) Updated IOS to 13.6.
4) Tried to set a temporary status.

I logged into the 3cx console, went to extensions, tried to click on my extension, and got a blank pop-up (see other screenshot). I then tried to click on other users that are not affected and got the same thing.

As of now my extension is stuck on away and I have no way to change it.

***I will not be rebooting the server as a "solution" to this problem. That is a Microsoft solution. Be better.***

Hi,

This is certainly not a good thing and does indeed point to something having gone wrong with your server.

Since we do not know what caused it at this stage you can try changing the status of other extensions and see if you get the same results.

If I had to blindly guess I would say that perhaps some service is no longer running, perhaps related to the database.

Two additional users have reported the same problem. All three of our extensions are not visible in the "Status" portion of the app.

What services should I be looking at?

On the dashboard you will see this warning, and if you click it you will then be taken to the services page to see which one is down:

If no services are down then you may be looking at a different type of issue.

Did you run any 3rd party tools or bash commands that affect the database or change any files in the /var/lib/3cxpbx path? Keep in mind that the system relies on the correct ownership/permissions to be set for the user phonesystem which runs the whole system, otherwise it will start misbehaving in unexpected ways and quite possibly generating any number of weird exceptions.

I would recommend to take a backup off of the machine while you can in case you need to rebuild your PBX.

Let me know what you find and we discuss accordingly
