We have always set up dummy extensions, pre version 20, and used these for routing out of hours calls to or unanswered calls during the day so that we can use different messages e.g. "You have reached ABC the offices are closed, please leave a message" or "You have reached ABC, we cannot take your call at the moment". We were then able to send these to an email address already used (Receptionist for example). It appears in Version 20 that you can't use the same email if it is already used for a user. How can we replicate this?

Use aliases on the mailbox. So the same mailbox could have [email protected] and [email protected]

365 has something called plus addresses (so does gmail) that makes this dead simple.

Not really. We used to be able to create numerous dummy extensions, Normal closed, unanswered calls during the day, Easter closed messgae, Christmas closed message and just send them to the same email address. Now we have to ask client to mess around and get plus addresses.

The plus addresing is done by apending +<whatever> to your email.

user1@....
user1+hello@...

you dont need to do anything 365 end, just type it.
