Solved Can't install 3CX PBX on Raspbian Linux 10

Hi,

I'm trying the Raspberry Pi 3CX PBX install for the first time and been following alot of 3CX instructions and forums. when i go to type "sudo apt -t stable install 3cxpbx". I get this error that it can't install libicu57 and libcurl3.

Any ideas what i need to do? i'm using a repository for a debian stretch as i can't find a one for raspbian.

Sources list is: deb http://downloads-global.3cx.com/downloads/debian stretch main

You need to use the Stretch Lite image, as stated in the docs. You can download it there too.

Debian 10 "Buster" isn't compatible with 3CX yet. You need to use Debian 9.

I followed that instruction but after i used etcher and flash with the raspbian stretch lite image. I've inserted the SD card into the Raspberry Pi 4 and it doesn't boot anything like i only have a red static light going on.

Any ideas what needs to be done, i've formatted the SD card with SD Formatter.

As far as I am aware, the Pi 4 doesn't work with 3CX right now. This is possibly a driver/config issue.

If you followed the docs, you should know they specifically said Raspberry Pi 3B+.

Raspberry Pi 4 does not support the Raspberry Pi Debian 9 image.

You will have to wait until 3CX supports Debian 10 to use a Raspberry Pi 4.

No timeline has been published yet for this.

I have successfully run 3CX on Debian 10 buster. The primary issue with 3CX on Buster is the PostgreSQL 9.6 version has been obsoleted. You can still run the 9.6 version on buster and I have not seen any issues. Although, I can say it runs on 10 I have not fully tested all functionality of the 3CX system. The only way to install 3CX on debian 10 buster is through upgrading 9.9 stretch to 10.

Does that mean i need to upgrade postgreSQL? Or install it before attempting to install 3cx

This is not compatible nor tested with Pi 4, its meant for the Pi 3B+

I would not upgrade postgreSQL as it will typically involve changes to the database which could impact 3CX. Regarding John_S_3CX comment, I would not run this in a production environment (maybe a very small environment) since 3CX doesn't support Buster at this time. I only meant to state it will run on Buster.

My primary purpose for testing Buster is 9.9 Stretch does not have Microsoft Hyper-V integration services and Buster does have those built-in. Without these services I have issues with backing up a running linux VM.

This is not compatible nor tested with Pi 4, its meant for the Pi 3B+

I ended up buying a Raspberry PI 3B+ and followed the 3CX setup worked great.

Glad it was sorted, we have plans for the Pi 4 but enough things have changed under the hood that it will take time for us to test and validate before we release for it. We will make a blog post when the time comes.
