Hi,

I had configured 3cx with Patton for PRI lines. I am having 30 channels with 100 DID's . I am able to receive and make calls from the Pilot number. Setting a CID for outbound calls for an extension also works fine. I need to configure another number from my pool to call an extension directly. I would also like to configure forward calls to my number other than my pilot number an outside number. I tried configuring it but all calls to numbers lands to the pilot number

Thanks in advance

First off, which Patton Gateway are you using? Is it the Patton SmartNode 4171? If yes, make sure that you have followed our guide to configure it and that it is running the latest firmware as mentioned in the guide: https://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/patton-sn4940-sn4950-sn4960/

I need to configure another number from my pool to call an extension directly.
For this, all you will have to do is make sure that the DID number you want to route to the extension has been added in the DIDs tab of the Gateway (under SIP Trunks) and that an Inbound Rule for that DID has been created.

I would also like to configure forward calls to my number other than my pilot number an outside number.
Here I'm not exactly sure what you mean? By pilot number are you referring to the main trunk number? What exactly do you want to happen and to what calls, incoming or outgoing?

I tried configuring it but all calls to numbers lands to the pilot number
Do you mean they all go to the main trunk number and therefore follow the routing on the "General" tab of the gateway? If yes, then creating DID Inbound Rules as mentioned above should do the trick.

Thanks for the support

@ChrisC_3CX I still have the same issue. Yes the gateway which i use is Patton 4171. I had added the DID under the SIP trunk and created a inbound route with destination as one of my extension but the call still goes to my main trunk number and not the DID created. Yes with pilot number I meant main trunk number.

Thanks in advance

How have you added your DIDs? If for instance the DIDs contain the + sign or Country code/Area code, you could try removing that prefix and just add an asterisk to act as a wild card so that they are more dynamic and therefore are able to match calls regardless if they reached the 3CX PBX with or without the prefix.

For example, if your DIDs are created as +97188888888, 0097188888888 or 0188888888, try changing them to *88888888 on the SIP Trunk >> DID tab. Then create the DID Inbound Rule again and see if that fixes the issue.

Note: Do bear in mind that DIDs must contain at least 7 digits or 6 digits and an asterisk.
