I've updated the output fields I wanted to have show on our CDR, however the log (obtained from Dashboard>Activity Log>Logs>Instance>CDRLogs) continues to display the former fields. Is there a step that is required to have the preferred fields appear? Thanks!

Hi @Chipstarrunner I tested and it works

I just left these fields for example

and the output was the following

Call 1681,00000189C6940E1B_21,00:00:01,2023/08/05 16:42:19,2023/08/05 16:42:22,2023/08/05 16:42:24

then if added all the fields again the output shows all the fields

Call 1682,00000189C6966196_22,00:00:00,2023/08/05 16:44:51,2023/08/05 16:44:54,2023/08/05 16:44:55,TerminatedByDst,Ext.300,Ext.301,300,301,301,,,,,,,Chain: Ext.300;Ext.301;,Extension,Extension,,Pedro Perez,Pamela Dos Santos,,,

what is your pbx version?

Hello @Alejandro_3CX our current PBX version is 18.0 (Build 312). I'll try to pair it down to a much smaller report like you did, and see if the information changes.

Yes it worked for me, I am running the last version 18.0.8.912, give it a try and should work for you too.

Ok, I think I may have found the error. Partially due to my misunderstanding on how the CDR report is generated. It appears that the changes to the CDR fields for calls from the point in time of change forward. I was expecting it to filter retroactively as well. Thank you for the quick response @Alejandro_3CX, I think I'm all set now that I understand this better. Perhaps some clarification can be added to the documentation?

yes, the change that you have made will apply for the new calls and not the calls that were already in the log.

Glad to assist you in this matter, have a great day!

@Alejandro_3CX sorry, one more question regarding this. Is there any way to mark the existing CDR log as "old" so we can preserve it, and have a new log created using the newly selected columns we chose? Thanks!

so you are on premise, you can copy the cdr file to another location and then delete it, so the system will create a new file for the new calls.

Ok, thank you. This is the log that is stored at /var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Logs/CDRLogs, correct?

Correct
