Hi all.
I have setup CDR to Generate CDR with Passive Socket however the socket wont connect whichever port number that I use. I have tested the connection with a peer to peer connection with 3cx where there is no network blocking the port. What causes the port to not connect? I am aware of 3rd party tool for CDR however I would like the port to connect without those.

Hello @Gurei123 .

If you use a Passive socket, your PBX service acts server-side and in that case, your CDR service will need to be able to reach that port to it, so you will need to make sure that your add the rule in your firewall settings including the OS level. So if you use Debian 11, you will need to manually add the port that you specify in the settings to the nftables list. Since this port can be random, PBX does not create that port in the firewall automatically, so it's an administrator's job to do that.

Thank you OlegR for the response. Kindly assist with details for setting up the firewall rule on 3cx to allow the chosen port.

Please assist with procedure to add the CDR port to nftables. I am using 3cxv18 Debian 10 and I have never done it.

Feel free to share with the solution with the others in case someone else comes here with the same issue.

Thanks

Hi all.
I added the required port to nftables.

What i meant, was the command line that was used.
