Cellphone linkage?

I may be reaching here but thought I'd ask in case the solution actually exists.

I'm hoping to replicate some functionality from a residential phone setup where the user could have their cellphone link to the in-house phones anytime they came into Bluetooth range such that calls to their telco cell number would ring on on an in house phone.

You could, of course, call forward the cell number to a DID each time but that requires repeated manual intervention and racks up minutes on the DID.

Is their any type of hardware and/or software solution out there that provides Bluetooth to sip integration that would allow incoming calls to the cell number to ring through to an extension on the pbx?

As I said, I may be reaching here but wanted to ask just in case.

There are some bluetooth devices that allow a mobile to ring a standard analogue phone. I have used the GE 2-1518A in the past.

It requires that the port, that normally goes to a set, instead, goes to an FXO PSTN gateway, that in turn, routes to a trunk into 3CX. The call can then be directed to any destination.

The drawback with that particular unit is that it won't do outgoing calls, as to select the bluetooth line, they need to be prefixed with non-numeric digits, which the gateway will not do. There are probably others on the market as that unit has been around for a number of years.

The line could also connect to the analogue line on one of the Gigaset IP DECT base stations allowing both a 3CX extension and the line from the bluetooth adapter to be used from one cordless handset.

The easy way to go is with one of the DECT phones that also connects to your mobile via bluetooth. I've used a number of the Panasonic models with success. They will usually support up to 6 handsets to cover your whole home, and repeaters are available. Other manufacturers have similar offerings.

There may be devices that do bluetooth to IP directly, but I'm not familiar with them.
