Hi all,
just a quick check as to if what our client wants is possible before I get familiar with call flows and how to set them up in CFD.
Our client has several offices, they'd each get a public number free for their customers to call. The call would get routed to the main office with employees all part of a queue. They would see customer_x is trying to reach office_1, I think that can already be done without having to use the CFD. That comes into play once an employee picks up the phone, there would be a trigger that opens up a separate program with customer_x's database. Assuming that particular program has an API that could handle this (notice the trigger, receive data from 3cx with the customer ID and office ID they were trying to call, open their file), is the CFD capable of interacting with a program in such a way?
I know that what I'm describing is a bit vague as I have zero experience in programming, just wanna make sure this is possible in theory. Feel free to reach out should you need any clarification to help me with this. I am looking forward to hearing back from you!
