Hi,

The answer might be in a document I haven't found yet. But is CFD apps answering the calls when a call comes?

I have a CFD app that kind of enables direct dial from 2 different PBX (FreePBX and 3CX), that works and all but the problem is the calls from FreePBX (call forward from ring group) seem to always be answered even though to call failed in 3CX (voicemail is disabled on the extension). The call should be going to FreePBX ring group's failover destination but it's not because FreePBX thinks the call was answered.

If the CFD app is taking the call by default, is there a way to disable it?

Any insights are very much appreciated.

I'm not sure if a CFD app answers the call. What I would do is compare 3CX and FPBX logging next to eachother to see at which moment FPBX sees the call as accepted and what happens at 3CX at that time.

Yes, a CFD will answer the call to process it. Otherwise, it cannot "monitor" the call.

For that, you'd need to use the Call Control API, or @VoIPTools.

Not sure why you don't just connect the 2 PBX's together via SIP trunk/bridging/extension.

Thank you, I'll look into Call Control API.

We have the 2 PBXs connected together via SIP Trunks, as per testing we can direct dial from 3CX to FPBX but we cannot direct dial from FPBX to 3CX which is why we made a call flow app. We haven't tried creating a 3cx bridge as there is no documentation for it.
