Change 3CX FQDN and License

if i have 3CX with ip phones provision with khaled.3cx.sg with free license... and i want to change the license to 16 SC Enterprise ... and i want to change the FQDN to Techno.3cx.sg ...so is this steps right :
1- i take backup without FQDN . license
2- remove 3CX from the server
3- install 3CX ..
4- while installation i will upload the Backup file then enter the new License ...
so this scenario is true or false ... and could the ip phones and the android app reprovision it self with the new FQDN ( we have static ip in this site )

Yes this is the procedure to change the license. You can also replace the key with a new key but this would link the FQDN to the new key.

However, phones and apps won't reprovision automatically as the FQDN changes. You would need to reprovision manually everything. (QR codes for apps, prov link for phones, or RPS)

i want to change FQDN because when i create it ... for test i create it with my name ... so now i add all ip phones and gateway , sip trunk ... so it will be officially for my company name

Understood, in this case you will need to reprovision manually. If the 3CX is local, factory reset all phones and 3CX should see them in Phones afterwards. Same goes if SBC. If STUN, you can either use RPS and factory reset, or just change the link manually on each phones if you don't have too many.

If local, you can always redirect the old FQDN to the new one if you have a local DNS server.

No, the phone will try using the old one since the provisioning URL is using your old FQDN. Your old FQDN will be still linked to the old key.

The only exception is if you phones are local to the 3CX (same network, subnet), in which case they will use the local IP instead, which should work.

You need to release the license key from the FQDN via 3CX portal after the backup and before the restore if you have upgraded your existing license key

its free one so i take backup without license or FQDN ... and i will restore the backup with new installation to change fqdn and put the new paid license

You could have released the FQDN in the Customer Portal and simply upgrade the existing free key.
