change configure IP phone depend on user login on web client

Hi all. i want to change extension on IP phone depend on when user login on web client.

In my work place, support team use personal laptop to connect to IP phone. So usually they change their place to sit. When they dial to customer and receive a call, system record extension that i configure on IP phone.

Like i say above, i want something like when user connect IP phone and login to web client, the IP phone will change extension of the user. Anyone know how to do this or other way? Sorry for strange question because i'm new with PBX system. Thank so much for help.

Have a look at hotdesking - https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/hot-desking-guide/ (Need pro or enterprise license). Hotdesking is the only way of changing the extension assigned to the IP Phone.

Or use the 3CX client on the laptop , instead of a IP phone.

As above the only way to change the IP phone to another extension is by using Hotdesking. This will allow the phone to be used my multiple users. Hotdesking works with supported devices provisioned locally or through an SBC.
