Hi All:
I recently installed 3cx on a WinXP machine and found out after the install that my DNS server does not like host names with numbers in them. The domain I configured in the setup wizard was 3cx.mydomain.com and I need to somehow change it (to maybe threecx.mydomain.com) on the system but cannot (for the life of me) find a setting to change. Is this even possible?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!
Eric B

Hi,

You can change your SIP Domain by:

1. Login to the 3CX Management Console.
2. Go to Settings > Advanced.
3. You will see a field called local SIP Domain - Change this accordingly.

Most people put the machines private IP address and get away with it that way.

Thanks,
