Solved Change in Park ring back?

We've had a client notice and complain about the Park ring back behavior being different. Previously on V18 parked calls that went past the timer would give a short half ring on the original phone and blink the park button. Now in V20 the call seems to come back as a full call where it rings the extension like a normal call instead of the half alert. Wondering if anyone else has seen this change and knows of away to revert back to the previous behavior. These are Fanvil X5u phones FWIW.

Hi

In version 18, calls returned from parking spaces were incorrectly configured. The alert-info SIP parameter was not set to 'External,' causing these calls to ring with the internal ringtone.

This issue has been resolved in version 20. Calls returned from parking slots now ring on IP phones with the external ringtone, as they should for external calls.

Thanks for the info Charles. Any chance this is a setting we can modify? This client prefers it the way it worked before.

This behaviour is inherent to the system's core SIP responses and cannot be modified.

As an alternative, you could transfer the call back to a queue. With an ENT subscription, you can assign a different ringtone to the queue and add logged-in agents to handle the calls.

Thanks we do have ENT licensing on this instance. I'll talk with our client and see how they would like to proceed.
