It looks like we initially setup a main number on the trunk but also added out main afterwards. We use Telnyx for our trunk and SMS platform

Our calls go out with the masked phone number but our text number is not our actual main number. Any clue how to change this? Especially with messages already out there

Extensions > choose a user > General > SMS.

Note that SMS received to queues will use that Queue SMS DID when replying.

Yes i actually found that but now im getting an error after trying to fix the number to the mainCapture.PNG

Hi @greatchoice,

Having a look at the error code 40305 from Telnyx seems to point to "The value must be a string containing a valid phone number in +E.164 format, a short code, or an alphanumeric sender ID associated with the sending messaging profile."

Way past that. It works with no issues on the original number that we setup. It will not do outbound. Ive already talked to Telnyx. The number is capable of SMS. I know because inbound works. And if someone else sets up the SMS you can respond but you cannot initiate the conversation.

Ive tried all different ways. Even setting up new APIs. And it even shows that the API was used so that isnt the issue. Its an issue on 3CX not sending over the right number mask. We need to get it solved without pointing fingers back and forth

Hi @greatchoice,

As you have messaging working on one profile, can you log in to Telnyx and select the working messaging profile associating it to the number that can't SMS out.

Once done, log in to your Management Console and make sure that the number has been added to the Route section.

From the Extension, select Enable SMS under General and select the number you've just added.

Yea its not that....something else is up. Cant get it working at all. Have to deal with a separate number for the business now
