Hello,

Can the description segment of the calendar file (conference.ics) be changed?

@blake.equip but are they included in the .ics file when you open it in a text editor?
JohnS:

FYI, I just accepted an .ics invite from another conference (Non-3CX) and I can tell you that the meeting content/info matched with what inside the .ics data and what's showing on my calendar. I opened the .ics file with a text editor and it checked out good.

I think when 3CX creates the .ics file for the invite, the 'DESCRIPTION' is NOT fully populated. You may want to ask your developers and check the source code.

Thank You!

@JohnS_3CX: At this case, the reader of the appointment has no chance to connect via phone, because the phone numbers are stripped away

That's correct, @Biber . User has no way to connect via Voice BUT the Web URL/Video conferencing option.

What is interesting, though, if you check or OPEN your 3CX web client, everything SHOWS properly; Dial-In Number, Pin Code#, etc.

Hi Blake,

We are confirming that there are missing details in ICS when the ICS is generated automatically (versus generating it manually via webclient). There are some compatibility issues with Outlook that need to be further investigated so I might not have an answer soon for this.

We have exactly the same issue in IBM Notes which for some reason only shows the .ICS data and not even the html email template text. Not before and not after accepting. It only looks like this:

2020-12-14 15_15_47-Mail - 3CX - IBM Notes.png

anything new about this issue?

Regards,
Christian
