Hi,

We have recently moved from using TeamViewer to 3cx for our conference calling...

Everything is great so far apart from one thing, the automated assistant that asks for your "conference ID" and tell you to press "#" is American...
This is only a problem due to what Americans call "#" "Pound". In the UK we call this "Hash" and pound is "£" This hasn't been an issue just yet but I can foresee a client not being able to get into the call because they're pressing "£" not "#".

Is this something we have set up incorrectly (some sort of config not set to the UK) or can this be changed/is it possible to customise and make our own?

Thanks!

Hi ,
surely message is in directives, so yes you can customise this one and change as you want.

To do this you need to duplicate directive set giving a new name, edit concerned wav file, record a new one, don't change his file name, in 3cx console change default used directives by the one you duplicate. restart services to have it working on 3cx.
This new set won't be updated by 3CX.

Hello @josephsmith

You can actually download and use a UK version of the prompts and use that if you haven't already.
Just navigate to Settings / System prompts and from the Updates section download the UK English prompt set.
Then go to "Manage Prompt sets" and select it.

Please note that extensions and Digital receptionists have their own settings for prompts so if you wish to change those also you have to do it from their respective menus.

Perfect!! Thanks for this!
