Solved Changing from 3 digit to 4 digit - License

Hello,

I have to change my 3cx server from 3 digit to 4 digit server. I know I can export the extensions and change them. However, the server includes a lot of queues in it. I believe i cant create queues and digital receptionists using a free license. I want everything setup before launching the server. I dont want to move the license until the new server is ready. Is there a way i can do this? thank you

Hi @Fnk,

Unfortunately that won't work. When changing digit length a reinstallation will be required as you understand, however the queues and extensions digit lengths will be tied to the backup so restoring a backup on a fresh installation with different digit lengths will not be possible.

Best thing to do would be to start with a fresh install, have a partner upgrade your free key to a POC key which will grant you access to the queues, add them and then migrate the license key from the old installation to the new one.
