I host multiple 3CX systems in my datacenter and use a shared virtual Patton smartnode as my voice gateway for my hosted 3cx installs. This allows me to not have to burn a public IP for each 3cx install (phones connect over VPN or sbc).

The current pain with this setup is that for some reason 3cx grays out the ability to change the authentication ID for gateways (I see no reason to block access to changing this). So when I am on my 30th hosted PBX I have to create 29 Fake gateways to then get to the 30th with an authentication id of 10030.

Does anyone know of a way to change the authentication ID of a gateway? I have looked through the parameters but don't see a relative option. I created a 3cx Idea years ago but it never went anywhere. I realize this is not a big deal for most 3cx partners but it is a big deal for us.

I have tried just creating a generic sip trunk to the Virtual smartnode but have been unsuccessful at getting it to register.
