Hello everyone,

Is there a way to prevent a specific extension from being disabled external calls when performing a checkout in the PMS? Thanks.

Hello Grace Liu,

This is the correct function result, no option know to me that can change this.
Please note this is part of the 'fixed' functions that are created for the Hotel envoirment.

Unless 3CX did make some hidden features, that they will now disclose.... dont think so.

Is there some special use-case where you need the extention te be able to dial out?

Paulo

The 3CX server connects to Avaya device via SIP trunk, and the extensions from two devices can call each other. Currently, when an 3CX extension is checked out in PMS, it loses external calling capability, including calls to Avaya extensions. The customer hopes that checked-out extensions retain the ability to call Avaya extensions.

Thanks

Hello Grace

Just trying to think out of the box.
Create a CFD - Dialer flow, that will check the extentions one by one every 5 minutes.
When it finds an extension with "Disable External Calls" set, it will CLEAR this.

So When the Function is used, and the extension will be blocket, this is for max 5 minutes, and all will be good again.
Would that work?

And the question... who can build something like this?

Paulo.

Thanks for your idea.
It seems that the PMS can send a message to individually enable the external calling function for an extension. We'll suggest that the customer checks out the extension in the PMS and then manually enables its outbound calling, and check if the customer accepts this operation.

Thanks
Grace

Great !

Try something like this: Add dummy extensions that forward to the Avaya lines when Not Available.

Yes, we tried this operation but still couldn't call out.
The 3CX server still showed that the original extension didn't have outbound calling permission.
