I am planning to migrate a voice network with the below phone models to 3CX. I would like to check whether the following phone models are supported or compatible with 3CX, either natively or through any supported integration method.
  • VTech S2210 – Corded phone
  • VTech CTM S2411 – Cordless phone
  • AEI VX-8108-SPBU – Cordless DECT phone
  • Avaya 1408
Kindly advise:
  • Whether these models can register directly to 3CX as SIP endpoints, or
  • If they require any ATA Adapter, Analog Gateways or third-party integration to work with 3CX
  • If these phones are registered with 3CX, which features may not function properly or may not be supported on the phones?

Technically, since 3CX supports SIP Standards, if the phone can register with SIP, it will work.

Your device that doesnt or supports analogue then you'd need to use an adapter.

Cant answer for the Avaya phone as I think they lock them to their system only, you'd need to confirm with someone who's had dealings with Avaya.

CTI probably wont work, mappings may not work without a template / manual input like voicemail and such. Transfer buttons may not work correctly. but, basic functions such as answering and making calls will work.

Expect that only calls will work and no other functions... And thats a "maybe".

A quick search tells me that the 1408 uses Avayas proprietary system, so not compatible with 3CX.
Here is a list of the 3CX compatible devices. Any analogue device would require an ATA, which are also in this list.

These devices are tested to work and can be auto-provisoned. Because 3CX uses SIP, which is a standard, in theory, any SIP phone/device should work if you manually provision the device. This does not mean that every function will work. It also means that you should have a good idea of what you are doing, before proceeding.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

With fanvil hotel phones costing so little, you should really ask yourself whether its worthwhile to keep those old IP phones.

now analog is another matter, if you do not have Ethernet cabling into the room you can use analog gateways and then its really a matter of the gateway being supported by the vendor, not so much the analog phone itself. Choose a vendor that will help you with connecting the phones and connecting it to 3CX. Grandstream works but for issues with the gateway itself and its configuration you have to contact Grandstream
