Hi all,
Desperately looking for some guidance or answers here.
I have a 3CX deployment that runs on a Hyper-V VM (Gen1, time sync, no VMq, sized for Medium but only has 20 phones) Installed from the 3CX provided Debian image. Everything works great except for remoteaudio. It’s randomly choppy. It will break up for a second and then be crystal clear again. If I call in via the SIP trunk, or even using the 3CX app. I have not done a live test call, as the system is not fully cutover yet. I’ve mostly been listening to IVR’s I’ve created, voicemails, etc. Also calling (via the app) other systems I have setup and listening to their auto attendants.
I’ve verified all of the required ports are open. SIP ALG is off. The VM is linked directly to a NIC that is plugged straight into theUbiquiti UDM pro.
I’ve taken packet captures from the 3CX console as well as from the hyper-v host itself. When I play the audio back in Wireshark, it’s crystal clear and the drops are not present.
It can’t be the SIP trunk, because it’s happening with auto attendant and voicemail stuff in the app. The firewall checks out, rule-wise. And they have a 100mb Spectrum business class connection which is barely being used after hours when I run the tests Multiple speed tests and continual pings show a solid connection.
I’m out of ideas! Thank you in advance for any advice.
