Dear all,

In my company we use the 3CX chrome extension, it works well but it happens that after connection/disconnection on the VPN, it is impossible to pick up and answer a call.
This forces us to do "Reload Extension".
In order to automate this, I created a chrome extension that forces the reload when we visit the url http://reload3cx.
So, by integrating it in the VPN in the connection/disconnection script, I launch a command
Code:
"c:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" "http://reload3cx/"
and it forces the reload automatically each time the VPN run.

I wanted to share this with you and give an idea to the 3CX developer to add this feature.
This is the first release, I use the extension ID to connect 3CX (I will improve this part because I'm not sure that the ID will be kept in the future)

I hope it will help some of you.

To install the extension, be sure to be in developper mode

Thank you for your contribution! It is true that issues may arise if a VPN client is connected while the 3CX Webclient is already running but as you said, reloading/relaunching it should resolve the issue. That said, while this is a great idea and simply reloading the extension should be absolutely harmless, we tend to advise users to steer clear of any third party components that may interact with 3CX in any way as to maintain a supported setup and avoid any unwanted behavior that may arise, especially since we are not the ones developing these and cannot guarantee compatibility and functionality with 3CX. It goes without saying of course that anyone is free to use whatever solution they find suits their needs but I just want to also point out that with all the improvements and changes coming in 3CX v18, most of these minor setbacks may very well get sorted eventually.

I fully support your point of view, I think it's a temporary solution, hoping that v18 will solve this kind of problem.
Since I deliver the source code of the extension, 3CX developers can integrate this simple command to the official extension.

jsut a heads up that we are having this issue regularly with our client that uses a VPN. Ticket after ticket of advising customer to reload..

Until v18 is officially released what you can do is advise users to have the VPN connection established before the 3CX Webclient is launched.
