Just wondering if there is a workaround to this...

When using the web client I can't get "tel:" links in a browser to get sent to the web client chrome extension. The only way I can have it work is to turn on the Chrome extension options, "Convert phone numbers on website/CRM to clickable links" to pass them to the dialer pad of the Chrome extension dialer. I am fine with this, but its annoying and a problem to me because I don't want it to try and do that to any 10 digit number it see's on a page. I only want it on our custom made web based CRM page.
I see there is an exception URL list but that is backwards to me. I would rather have a whitelist or even better, instead of trying to "smartly" interpret numbers it see's, why can't it just look for already "linked" tel: numbers and take those as numbers that can be passed. Does that make sense?

-change the option to either whitelist or blacklist urls
OR
-just have the "convert phone numbers" option not try to interpret any 10 digit number but just look for TEL links on a page and handle those

If you want tel: links to be interpreted you could try the 3CX Windows App.

You could tell Windows to set the default app for the "tel" protocol to 3CX Phone for Windows, and when your Windows OS recognizes a "tel" link, open 3CX Phone for Windows.

Otherwise for the Browser Extension, you have already done the optimal thing you can.

Yeah we were using the Windows App, but I'm convinced at this point they are trying to eliminate the windows client and proceed with the web client. The windows client has an extremely laggy delay from the presence screen for us when right clicking an active call to transfer or get options to transfer. I have been updating every time an update is available hoping there is a fix to this but all they tell me is to try the web client. Which I do, but clicking to call is totally different.

I guess I will have to just put in a feature request then to change how the clickable links option operates in that I would need to have the option to only apply the clickable link formatting to a specific site, instead of an exception rule list. I can't exactly type every possible website in to not do it on, when all I am after is having 3cx apply that link to a specific site and no others.

For the time being these are the options.
