Our main phone number has a DID directing to an Extension. I am trying use CID to detect specific incoming calls, based on their Caller ID, and route them to special extension.

CID is not detected if we call the main number. As a test we call another available number on the SIP Trunk (that does not have DID associated) and the CID is detected and routed to the proper extension.

Lines with DID do not seem to query CID.

A Wireshark trace might offer more insight.

You could also look at the setting "Add Group, Queue or DID/DDI Names to Caller ID" in the PBX under Contacts >> Options and see if this changes anything for you.

All numbers are a DID. What happens with that is up to the Software.
I just tested this with my provider and the call moved as needed.
NB: The order of the incoming rules - to ensure they are evaluated in the correct order. CID's should be above DID's.
Also, I usually use 10 digits for CID,DID but proceed it with a * to catch 1xxx and +1xxx etc.

Yes it was the Order of the Inbound Rule. I moved it up and it works perfectly.

Thank you Craig.
