is this 2 port voip wic card compatible with 3cx? it's possible to configure as a 2 port extension fxs card? I need to use 2 std analog phones with 3cx

If its a device like Linksys PAP2 it works perfect on 3CX

Cheers

cisco 1751

The 1751 should work fine with 3CX as it supports SIP. To connect analog phones to it you will need a FXS port WIC such as the VIC-2FXS.

I have the 1751 with voice IOS.
I need a configuration example to use 2 fxs ports as extensions of my 3cx. someone can help me posting configuration example?

cisco fxs port configuration

From the global configuration level, create your dial-peer as follows, substituting the proper port number based on what slot the FXS module is plugged into. Modify the destination pattern to the analog phone numbers.

dial-peer voice 1 pots
destination-pattern 5551111
port 0/2/0

dial-peer voice 2 pots
destination-pattern 5552222
port 0/2/1

ok so in 3cx case the pattern is the extension number? and how about the sip user/password? and the sip proxy / registrar server?

The previous post was for your FXS lines. You now want to configure your VOIP line to connect to your 3CX server. Modify the following for your 3CX server address and the extension numbers on the 3CX server. For the line to show registered (although it will work with out registering), the dial peer voice number must correspond to the 3CX line number you create for it and the sip ua section must be completed to match the 3CX line configuration. In the following 10006 is 3CX line number.

dial-peer voice 10006 voip
preference 1
destination-pattern 555....
voice-class codec 1
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:10.10.10.10:5060
dtmf-relay rtp-nte
no vad
!
sip-ua
authentication username 10006 password xxxxx
registrar ipv4:10.10.10.10 expires 3600
sip-server ipv4:10.10.10.10
!

and I can also configure a second extension? using the second fxs port?
I can see only one sip autentication..

Cisco 1745

I apologize for not being more clear in earlier posts. The router is a gateway device rather than an adapter and therefoe it gets configured as such in 3CX. You will be able to dial the devices connected to your FXS ports from your IP phones connected to 3CX and vice versa. However the analog devices will not show up as individual extensions in 3CX. The router will show up as a single registered line as any other PSTN gateway would. That is why only one SIP authentication is required. You will create a dialing rule that sends the analog extension calls to your router allowing calls between analog and IP. I hope you are getting a clearer picture now.

sorry but I found that I can configure one italian eutelia account to each fxs port of cisco 1751. so I suppose that I can register 1 analog extension to each port as I can do with eutelia.
You say that the 1751 cant act as a standard ata adapter like grandstream ?

Cisco 1751

Cool. So it can be done. I have not tried this but give it a shot. Adjust the voice-port numbers to your FXS ports. Change the dial peer numbers to the extensions you created in 3CX for the analog extensions. And change the IP address of course to your 3CX server.

voice-port 2/0
station-id number 101
!
voice-port 2/1
station-id number 102
!
dial-peer voice 101 pots
destination-pattern 101
port 2/0
authentication username 101 password 101
!
dial-peer voice 102 pots
destination-pattern 102
port 2/1
authentication username 102 password 102
!
dial-peer voice 10001 voip
destination-pattern .T
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:10.10.10.10
dtmf-relay rtp-nte
codec g711ulaw
!
gateway
timer receive-rtp 1200
!
sip-ua
registrar ipv4:10.10.10.10 expires 3600
sip-server ipv4:10.10.10.10

sure!! tomorrow morning I try this configuration.
letsee if it works.
PS have you also Idea on how to do some QOS for voice prioritization?

Cisco 1751

Good Luck. I just tried the same configuration posted previously in an Cisco 1811 router and the analog phones registered with the 3CX server right away.
PS have you also Idea on how to do some QOS for voice prioritization?
I use Cisco routers, switches and phones with seperate VLANs for voice and data. End users PCs are plugged into their phones. I then utilize the Auto-QOS feature to configure ports on the switches and routers. It is relatively easy and provides end to end QOS within the network.

another question:

dial-peer voice 10001 voip

this command describes the analog line configured on 3cx server as preferred line to make calls?

in my installation I've no analog lines configured on 3cx. I've only SIP accounts. Can I use 3cx call rules instead of this dial-peer command?

cisco 1751

dial-peer voice 10001 voip
directs the calls from the FXS ports on your 1751 to the 3CX server
in my installation I've no analog lines configured on 3cx. I've only SIP accounts.
What do you have connected to your FXS ports? I would assume it is some type of analog device. The router then converts these to SIP, like an ATA device would, and to extensions on your 3CX IP PBX.

just tested ans it works!!!
now I need to st the italian phone tone (cptone)
do you know if it works also the phone transfer? did cisco wic card support this feature?

PS i've connected 2 standard analog phones (cordless)

I've a big problema with hang up.
i've seen that if I make a call with an analog phone connected to the fxs port with 3cx, the comunication dont disconnect if I hangup the phone!!! remain active.

please help.

there is a disconnect command to program fxs port to receive the offhook signal?
