Cisco SPA phone Remote site

Hello,

I have a 3cx system configured all with Cisco (Linksys) SPA502G phones.
We want to be able to use the phones outside of the LAN in a remote site with out the need to deploy a branch 3CX system.

I have opened port 5060 (SIP) and tested the set-up with the 3CX softphone and it works flawlessly. I have then tried to replicated the same with the Physical phone and change the IP for the PBX from local to remote in the phone interface but nothing happens.

I'm guessing that the SPA502g requires more then just 5060 to be open to the PBX I have been googling for a while now and cant seem to find anything on a remote connection to 3cx for cisco SPA phones.

I'm sure I have missed something.

Does any one have any suggestions?

Probably the easiest way to make it all work is to tunnel the remote site through 3cx's proxy manager.

Be advised, the proxy manager & 3cx tunnel use TCP port 5090 - so you'll need to open that port.

Otherwise, you need port 5060, make sure stun is configured properly on the phone and make sure the various RTP ports are able to send out.
