Cisco SPA phones using option 66

I have been trying for 2 days to get my SPA phones to accept the http server in option 66. I cannot get it to work and I can't find any good documentation on it. I followed what 3cx has posted on this but I am missing something. The phones are 303s on version 7.5.5. The string will not populate the rule. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me some tips on what to do?

Do you have any other devices, on your network that are accepting the tftp IP address, using Option 66?

The string doesn't populate the rule.. at least not directly.

The string gives the handset the location to fetch the provisioning file.. and subsequently the provisioning file "can" contain the provisioning URL string.. would would effectively be the same string (but doesn't "have" to be..).

Leverage WireShark and see what your host is seeing from that handset.. you can also verify DHCP is giving out that option with something like DHCP Explorer.
