Hello,

sorry for asking, but searching here, googleing around and trying brings me no step futher, so I have to ask and hoping for help:

Is it possible to got click2call working with the V18 Windows Desktop App? I tried to uninstall V16, installed V18. Clicked on a tel:-link in MS Edge and nothing happened. Next try I installed the Edge-Extension and selected to use the Windows App to make a call. Again: Nothing happend. If I swich to use the Webclient, it opens up in a new tab and starts the dialer. Why this is not working with the desktop app out of the box?

To check this again, I installed the V16 app, switched to CTI-mode and checked it again: Works! Than a step futher: Uninstalled the Edge-Extension and it also works as it should be: Click on a tel:-Link opens the dialer and I only have to click to the green button...

Sorry, but is there a important changed that I missed? Whats the correct use case of the V18-App (sorry, but on the 3CX website everything is possible in every situation, you can find pages over pages describing whats all possible, but no page writes about a specific version...)

I hope someone here can help me to clarify, what is needed to open tel:-links and dial via 3CX...

Thank you, sincerly

Kai

Install the DesktopApp, set Windows to use it for the tel: URLs, and then use the Click2Call extension to create links with numbers on webpages.

Hi ConceptsWeb,

thank you for your answer. But it seems not clear to me, you write "install the DesktopApp" - is this the V16 or V18?

Tel-Links I already got from our system, if the browser extension only do the conversion from a number to a tel-link, we can avoid it completely...

V18 app.

And in this case, yes you can avoid it. Clicking the tel link should pop the dialer of the app. Chrome might popup the first time as well.
