Sorry if there is another topic about it, but I can't find it.

How can I continue to use the function CLICK to CALL, existing in the chrome extension of 3cx, in the new desktop app ? The recommendations of 3cx is to disable the plugin. But a lot of users, make use of the click to call facility.

Obs: I use the tel://number, but every time, I need to select the 3CX app, because windows not assign the 3cx app automatically.

Also, I tried the url: tcx+app, but appears to works only to the "Provision" option in the webclient.

There is a way to call the 3cx desktop app direct from a registered URL, like "tel" or "tcx+app" ?

The new 3CX Desktop app will not convert any number to a clickable link as the 3CX Browser extension worked. It can only make specific numbers clickable depending on the type. To set the callto and tel links to always open with the new 3CX Desktop App you will need to set the app as the default for these protocols in Windows.

Just go to Window's Default apps and then click on "Choose default apps by protocol":


Find the callto and tel protocol and select the new 3CX Desktop App.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by this, could you provide an example?
