Hi,

Some of our 3cx extensions cannot open the web meeting URL from Click2Meet, mainly extension which is marked as a Green dot, it is working Okay for the extensions which marked as a red dot though.

The issue is it is redirecting to a troubleshooting page

Can someone help to find out the issue?

Hello,

The extensions that appear red are not currently registered.

Try to log in to the extension (so it will become green) and then try the URL again.

The problem is the registered extension is not working with Click2Meet, the URL leads to a troubleshooting page, but the unregistered extension working without any issues, the URL leads to join page as attached

Oh sorry, I misunderstood.

Try and create a brand new extension, give it an email address, enable Click2Meet and tell us if that one will work ok.

Hi,

The newly created extensions work fine. but have an issue with old extensions showing registered
Thank You

Ok please try the following solution on any extensions that face this issue:

  1. Edit the affected extension in the 3CX management console
  2. Disable Click2Meet and remove their email address
  3. Press OK to save
  4. Edit the extension again
  5. Re-add the email and re-enable Click2Meet
  6. Press OK to save
Let me know if this solution works for you.

Hi,

I could find the mentioned steps resolved the issue.
May I know why this issue occurred and what can we do to avoid the mentioned issue in the future.

Thank You

Hi Vince,

Glad to hear! In case the PBX lost sync in the past (with the webmeeting servers) then the servers may not be aware of the existence of those extensions. These steps above ensure that the extensions are synchronized again.

Normally this is an automatic process on V16 Update 6 and you can force it if needed for troubleshooting by clicking here, and then clicking Synchronize:
