We've had similar cases that behave the same way on spacebar in WordPress. Most of them are relevant to the setup of the site and more specifically on the theme/plugins that might used.
The only way to troubleshoot it is to try to eliminate various factors that might interfere to the proper way that the plugin works.

I am also having this issue on our site. Is this a case of plugins interfering with operation? Can you advise of some steps to take to try and pinpoint the issue @Constantinos Constantinou ?

Some steps might be to alter theme used by your site or deactivate 3rd party plugins.

I'm getting the exact same error on my WordPress site. And once again in typical 3CX fashion the answer to the obvious problem is "oh well it works for us so it must be your problem". Instead of just saying it is a work in progress and we will get it fixed. We have lots of money tied up in our WordPress theme and have no plans on changing it just because your programming does not work. Come on guys! Great idea but it's obviously an issue!

This is something that we've tried to investigate with other members of the community with similar issues, and it seems that it is not something that we do have control over it. As you can understand the cases that might occur with the various themes and plugins, is not something that we can test by ourselves.
What we suggest is to try to replicate the environment (setup a simple local copy of your site) with the help of a webmaster, and try to investigate the issue.

Another option might be to get in touch with the theme provider and asking for support, since this is a paid theme, if I understand correctly.

Hi mate. I found that disabling my scrollbar styling and any smooth scrolling in the theme options seems to fix it. Hope this helps.

Open your website in Chrome and start Chrome Debugging Tools. On Sources tab in right sidebar expand "Event Listener Breakpoint" and select Keyboard->keydown. Press Space somewhere on website and console will stop application on all keydown events so you will find code that prevents Space button.
