I am starting to roll out client to user, and am having issue. Both Windows (on network & VPN) & iPhone (wifi & cellular) clients state "Connecting..." I see presence working for all extension. I get voice mail notification on clients. When I attempt to dial I get nothing, no error, no audio, just silence.

The 3CX firewall checker reports all green, passed with no issue. Interesting thing is browser extension for both Edge and Chrome work normally with no issues.
Static IP - ISP Modem->Sonicwall FW->Cisco 3850->3CX server. Currently running on Windows Server 2019, 3CX Std v16.0.8.9. Windows 10 Pro 21H1. iPhone 6S+ v14.7.1

Any and all help would be appreciated, I've been staring at it so long I'm probably missing something obvious.

Thank you,
Scott

Hi PoPLCVB,

Does the 3CX Firewall Checker pass successfully?

How about 3CX Web Client?

For the Mobile Devices (IOS and Android) if you switch off WiFi and open LTE, does it work then?

Possible reasons why you could be getting "connecting" is because the Mobile/Windows app cannot reach the 3CX server on ports:
  • HTTPS (default 5001) for TCP
  • Tunnel (default 5090) for UDP and TCP
On your internal network and VPN, does the network routing allow traffic to these ports to reach 3CX and the return path is also allowed?

No difference between WiFi and cellular data, just Connecting...

Firewall Checker check the connection between 3CX and the internet, it does not though check if the routing policies of your VPN and/or network are correct.
Anyhow, as you say that the same happens when on mobile data, it could be something else.

Seeing that the issue happens externally as well, could please create a new extension on your 3CX, and in a PM, send me credentials so I could log into the WebClient? I'd like to check remotely as well.

I hate when I find a thread that relates to an issue I'm experiencing that just seems to end... I've been working with NickD_3CX in PM.

We found that the Sonicwall firewall was forwarding the packets onto the 3CX server, the server was seeing but rejecting them, but the strange thing is the server was rejecting only 5090 packets... all others were passing correctly.
- Verified Windows firewall was disabled
- Disable any Defender setting (AV, IPS, etc)
- Verified all 3CX setting were correct

Yet for some obscure unknown reason this server still does NOT accept TPC/UDP 5090.

Plans to rebuild the server are in progress thinking something obscure that is stopping it now won't be there after rebuild.

I spent the better part of yesterday attempting to build a linux version, thinking it would be a lot cleaner of an OS and less opportunity for obscure issues... After about 10 hours of fighting, I could NOT get past the license key authentication.

Followed several KB for installation of the linux on Windows Hyper-V, 8.8.8.8 as dns, same MAC and IP as current Windows 3CX (powered down), all packages updated and ntp install... Nothing. Tried restore w/ & w/o key & fqdn, tried new install with brand new key. 10 hours wasted as I could NOT get past key authentication.

One final attempt... build the Windows version from scratch...
