Solved Cloudflare blocking access to downloads-global.3cx.com

[Drain Bamaged]

I was working on another 3CX issue and checked the event log on the server. I found 2,350 events starting 9/29/2023 12:20:22 saying that:

EventId: 0

Request to https://downloads-global.3cx.com/downloads/v180/hotfixes/hotfixes.xml has failed with message $Server returned 'Forbidden' when 'https://downloads-global.3cx.com/downloads/v180/hotfixes/hotfixes.xml' was requested

When I type that URL into a browser on the server I see that Cloudflare has blocked me.

I checked six of my 3CX servers across four countries and see entries on all of them going back as far as 6/15/2023.



What is going on?

The hotfixes are currently disabled, and this is expected for Windows OS-based 3cx systems.
