Perhaps not common for windows administrators but for linux admins this is a must.

There are a lot of components that are tedious to control through te GUI only, this ranges from checking the status of a trunk to counting the number of extensions, license etc these are just examples, there are many more.

For a dozen or so installations this is manageable but for 100's of deployments it becomes a terrible mess.

It would also allow for more advanced monitoring solutions as this is very limited at the moment.

Thoughts?

We are very close to releasing our new Linux Relay / REST API. That would likely give you many avenues to query the status of various 3CX services, etc. Keep an eye open. I expect a beta to be available in the next month.

Thanks, I will certainly look into it.

It should also be possible to use .Net Core and Powershell with linux and than use the Call Cantrol API.

As far as I understand this is only available for Windows.
