Company B Company C

Hi guys,

Quick question. What is the best way for dealing with setup where company has another DBA and wants to have same system accept calls for company B and company C?

Option 1: I know I can setup another cloud 3CX for company B and another for company C and have them on separate 3CX installations. In which case I'd probably have another phone setup so they can have auto att. etc...

Option 2: Or do I grab a phone line and direct company B to ring extension XXX on one of the phones already setup? I could also use one phone for company B which could also have its own dial out number, or can that also be programmed on one of the phone sets so that line 3 is XXX-XXX-XXXX phone number for dial out?

I think I may have found my answer.

Just create the ring groups named Company A and Company B, then just set line 1-2 to ring one and 3-4 to ring the other? Then they'll see the name of the company the call is for on the display.

Do you agree that's the easiest way? Let me know if you guys think option 1 is better...

If it is just a matter of sending certain calls to certain ring groups, or extensions, then it is no different than a company with different departments. And, of course, outbound rules can specify which extensions use which trunk groups. Beyond that, it comes down to how much separation / interaction between the two companies, you, or they, actually.desire.
