Just updated a few instances to version 16.5 yesterday and today, including a new PBX Express instance in Azure Cloud. Found out on a schedule conference call today that the PIN number generated by our CEO wouldn't work. He mentioned this has happened 3 times now when he creates a conference call. I tried to join the conference and got the same message.
Looking at the Settings > Conferencing > Audio Tab:
Under Options there is "Require an organizer to enter a Conference PIN in order to create conferences from your IP Phone" I see that is Enabled by default and a random number is generated each time its turned back on.
Turned it back on and testing this on a conference call I scheduled, I didn't get any announcement on inputting this option number vs. the PIN I generated for my test conference call.
Also saw this is on client's 16.4.504 instance as well.
So it has been an option for awhile?
Leave it on or turn off?
