Config Issue for Patton 4114 FXO

Hi All,

Starting installing Patton 4114 FXO, can ping the box but 3cx is not communicating with it. No VOIP led light lit.

Did you upload the config generated by 3cx?

There is some fine-tuning you can do after the install - but following these instructions should get you making & taking calls.

You may also want to change the loop back rate to 200ms its configured by default in 3cx for 60ms. Hope this helps.

Is loop back rate a location (country) specific setting?

Also, I haven't checked lately but the 3cx config was setting the patton NIC to 10/half duplex, when I see no reason not to set it to either match the switch or to auto?

Not country but carrier from what I understand with that being said i have to change on every install ive done using Pattton, thoughg its an easy change and other than that no issues.

I've been using a Patton SN4114 FXO for several years with software v R4.2.
I decided it was well overdue to get updated to R6.3 as this recently came out, and seems to be the firmware version that the 3CX templates know about.
I backed up my running config and uploaded the new firmware.
I restored my config, but the Patton will no longer register with the 3CX server (I'm running v11 SP4 Pro, licenced for 16 calls).

I tried using the Gateway creation wizard in 3CX, but this does NOT provide an option to download/generate the config file for pushing to the Patton box, contrary to what the config guide at http://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/patton-smartnode/ indicates should happen.

I am now stuck with no PSTN lines! Major problem.

I suspect the new firmware uses a different login process and the old config file could not supply all the right details, but the user manual for 6.2 is (like the Patton admin pages) very difficult to understand.

I cannot find anywhere to check on the Patton admin pages about setting the 3CX virtual extension password. The closest I've found is a Call Router Mapping Table Function for e-164 to the virtual extension numbers (10000, etc), but there's no password field associated with this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this issue. The old template 3cx template that was applied to the 4114 does not work with the new firmware. What i did was regenerate the new template in 3CX v11 with 6.x firmware in and use text to edit the extension, password to match what was on the 4114 and apply the new config to the 4114 and it worked

How did you generate the template file? I don't get the button for "generate" after re-running the new gateway wizard. It creates the virtual extensions, new passwords, etc., and shows the summary page, but then just stops at there.

I should add that I have now restored 4.2 and reloaded my config to get it working again.
I have also logged a support ticket with Patton as they offer free lifetime product support.
