Can anyone tell me how to configure Windows Server 2008 to send faxes through 3CX. I have successfully setup the inbound faxing. Trying to setup the outbound using Windows server fax I get contact the fax administrator as you do not have permissions. I am a domain admin and have an account in the fax server. I cannot find any information of how to configure this - please help

3CX does not support outbound faxing

Directly from the website I would suggest it does and need the configuration process

http://www.3cx.com/PBX/t38.html

3CX Phone System for Windows includes a full featured T38 fax server that allows faxes to be sent and received from anywhere in the network. Faxes can be received as PDF and forwarded via email. Faxes can be sent from anywhere in the network via Microsoft Fax Services (which is included with Windows 2003 and 2008)

I tried for days to get outbound faxing working and never succeeded until I installed t38faxvoip. (http://www.t38faxvoip.com/) It installs virtual fax lines that connect to a SIP server (3CX) and it's about $100 for one line. I can then use the MS Fax server for outbound faxing.

Some people have had success with the 3CX outbound fax server (http://www.3cx.com/downloads/3CXfaxserver.msi ) or SPA3102's, but I could never get them to work.

3CX Use to support sending faxes but no longer does. Kerry is correct. You will need to find another solution to send faxes, however receiving faxes to the fax extension still works.

Directly from the website, as you quoted: "Faxes can be sent from anywhere in the network via Microsoft Fax Services"

Sent via Microsoft Fax Services, not via 3CX
