configure phones

I have just signed up with 3cx hosted by them. I purchased older Unifi talk phones that unifi says i cant use with their talk, so i went with 3cx as it was recommended. I have got the PBX set up. I have not chosen a sip yet as I am looking for one that has pay by minuet as we will only have 4 phones currently. (any recommendations that support 3cx call transfer would be great). I seem to be having issues with getting my phone connected. I turned a windows laptop into a SBC a few hours ago but I still cant seem to get my phones to connect.

I am aware that the phone is not auto supported by 3cx but does anyone know what i am missing or why it says not connecting to server? I read I needed a SBC but now I have that and have no clue what else to do to test this thing.

Return the Unifi Talk phones and get supported phones. Snom D120 or Grandstream GXP1610 are dirt cheap and the Fanvil X3 or Yealink T19 aren't far behind. D120 would be my choice on a budget.

Thank you for the info. I think I found the sip trunk I like as well. I am just very warry of unifi's phone systems now that their EOL of phones is only 5years =( would hate to have to buy new phones.
