Hi, we installed the 3cx Android Client on an Huawei Y6. When I go to the "contacts"-tab and scroll to a contact, e.g. "John Doe" I can call the contact without a problem. If I go to the "search"-field at the top of the tab and search for the contact (I tried "Doe", "John", "John Doe", "Doe John") I get no results. If I do the same thing with another contact like "Jane Doe" I get search results.

I tried to figure out if there are differences between the contacts where it works and the contacts where it doesn't, but I don't see a pattern. I've read somewhere here that it might be a problem with numbers starting with a +, but sometimes I also get search results for them.

Does anyone have an Idea what the problem could be?

Hi @geagea

Can you try recreating the contact from scratch to see if they become searchable?

Go to your Android Contacts
Delete John Doe
Create him again, and add a phone number
Go back to the 3CX app now and check if you can search for him

Hi @JohnS_3CX

the contact i'm looking for is originally saved in our 3CX contact list, not in my android contacts.
I could try to recreate the contact there too, but we have about 900 contacts and I guess about 50% of those are searchable, so recreating all of them would be quite a hassle.

Understood. I would suggest you delete the contact on your PBX then, and recreate them. Then see if they are searchable. Add only name, surname, and a mobile for example and use something simple like +123 as the phone.
